Systems for automated testing of electronic control units
Tritem tests the technically complex control software systems during the development phase through simulation. This leads - compared to testing the software in a real application - to significant cost and time savings. In tests of control software for locomotives, a cost reduction has already been achieved by preventing both the locomotive and the track from being blocked during the test process.
To achieve maximum cost savings, Tritem uses automated test systems. These test systems consist of:
-
A simulation unit or several interconnected simulation units and
-
A corresponding simulation environment, which makes both the input of the test stimuli, as well as logging of system responses, possible.
To test the customer specific control units, the simulation environment is integrated to analyse it under realistic conditions. This is also possible in real time. The test requirements and protocols of the test results are transmitted to the customer quality management system according to their terms.
