Simulation of customer-specific locomotive components

Despite European standards, the varieties of national security systems in Europe create a greater diversity in individual facilities for technical systems - even in a series of locomotives of the same type.

How to achieve a reduction of cost in testing a series?

Tritem developed simulators to configure itself. This allows testing of a variety of versions and variants of a system with a single simulator. The result is significant cost savings.

Procedure

After reading the original schematics, the simulation engine turns into a logical model of the simulated technical system. Due to the dynamic exchange of models, the schematic components configure the simulator itself. It depicts schematics and generates, by using the test vectors, signals, peripheral components, sensors and other system elements so the control units can provide a dynamic status.

Then the simulator, which is now the technical application model, is drawing on comprehensive test patterns. Die resultierende Modellreaktion wird mit den Anforderungen der Spezifikation des Kunden verglichen. The resulting model response is compared to customer specification requirements.

The necessary models and test vectors for the specific applications are developed by Tritem’s development teams according to customer specifications.
The components of the resulting structured simulation models have a varying complexity.

The simple models of individual technical details are just as vital as the Sub - simulators in the form of physical calculation models of complex systems.
